This Privacy Policy applies to the website: americanstogether.com (the “Site”) operated by Americans Together, Inc., non-profit organization.

Americans Together created this privacy policy to explain how we use information that you may provide while visiting the Site and to demonstrate our firm commitment to Internet privacy. Americans Together may modify this policy from time to time so we encourage you to check this page when revisiting the Site.  By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

When you register, contribute, sign up to volunteer, or take any other action on our Site, we may ask you to give us contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number or e-mail address.  We may obtain information about you from outside sources and add it to or combine it with the information we collect through the Site. 

We use this information to operate the Site, send you news and information about Americans Together’s activities, solicit your participation in Americans Together’s activities, events, and programs, and for related uses.  We use your e-mail address to send such information by e-mail.

Text Messages: By signing up and entering your telephone number, you consent to receive and authorize Americans Together to send recurring text messages from a 10-digit number by an automatic telephone dialing system.  From time-to-time, Americans Together staff, volunteers, and vendors bay contact you by text about our activities.  Text STOP as a reply to a text message if you would like to unsubscribe from Americans Together’s text messages.

Age Requirements to Use the Site: Visitors who are under 13 years of age should ask their parent or legal guardian for assistance when using the Site and should never submit any personally identifying information to the Site.

We may share your information:

  • With companies that assist us in maintaining this Site or with Americans Together’s activities, but only for purposes of providing services to Americans Together and with the strict requirement that any such company will never itself have the right to contact you for any reason.
  • To comply with applicable law or legal requirements (for example, a lawful subpoena), to protect our rights or property, or to protect our supporters from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records.
  • With your explicit permission and participation, information is shared when you choose to sign petitions, complete surveys, or use our email tool to send messages to legislators, the president, or other elected officials.
